Currencies Direct Wii Tennis Challenge

Last Friday saw the two finalists of the Currencies Direct Wii Tennis Challenge battle it out for the coveted title of Champion 2009.

These two finalists were Imran Khan and Jose Ivars-Lopez, in what turned out to be an epic battle!

Imran came out of the blocks fireing on all cyclinders, taking the first two games and getting to match point in the third, but the pressure of the occasion, the cheering from the crowd (Jarrad an avid Imran supporter!) and the determined composure of Jose just turned the game into his favour. Jose took the next two games so the game was level at two games each, going into the final 5th game. This was a battle of nerves, no longer a game but a test of mental agility. Who would be the victor!!!!

That’s right Jose Ivars-Lopez was serving for the match in this final game of the championships and Imran’s nerve had gone! Jose is the 2009 Currencies Direct Wii Tennis Champion and the engraving shop are already working on the trophy! Jose has donated his winnings to charity “Just beating Jarrad is enough for me” he said.

Well done to both players, and to everyone that took part in the Championship. The real winners here are the charities that have benefitted. Another tournament will be announced soon - Watch This Space!!
